摘要: A versatile method to rapidly synthesize high quality gold nanorods through the use of a microwave terminated growth process is presented. Traditional nanorod procedures require lengthy periods in addition additional materials/steps terminate growth, including extra reagents, precise control reagent concentrations, and tuning environmental factors such as temperature or pH. Utilizing brief, power irradiation exposure, one can improve monodispersity achieve significant reduction level nanoparticle impurities within sub-30 min regime without need reagents pH adjustments. In increased synthesis efficiency, microwave-terminated yielded an increase longitudinal:transverse plasmon peak ratios, signifying with samples treated at 24 versus traditional h termination. methodology also yields improved homogeneity produced rods shown narrower spectral full width half maximum compared traditionally grown nanorods.
