摘要: The integer wavelet transform (IWT) is dealt with. For for image compression performance, it known that the IWT has a worse performance than discrete (DWT). We analyse signal representation mechanism with respect to DWT one, in order explain this difference. Insight into suggests simple, computationally efficient yet very effective way improve up level. Simulation results are presented both natural and synthetic images, these latter being more critical IWT; shown proposed method permits one fill gap between performance.
