摘要: Wavelet thresholding using discrete wavelet transforms (DTWs) is a sophisticated and effective approach for noise reduction. However, usage of integer arithmetic implies that not the full range input values can be used. A method selectively reducing in digital signal having first comprises steps decomposing (2D-DWT) to plurality frequency sub-bands (LL1,..., HH3), wherein before, during or after (inorig) at least one sub-band expanded (Exp) by more bits second values, removing (ThLH1,...,ThHH3) are below threshold, re-combining (2D-IDWT) sub-bands, said into an output (outexp), de- expanding (InvExp) (outde-exp) obtained.
