摘要: The study aimed to determine factors influencing the uptake of 2009 H1N1 influenza vaccine in a multiethnic Asian population. Population-based, cross-sectional survey was conducted between October and December 2009. Approximately 70% overall participants indicated willingness be vaccinated against influenza. Participants who positive intention vaccinate were more likely have favorable attitudes toward vaccine. A halal (acceptable Muslims) main factor that determined Malay participants' decision accept vaccination, whereas safety influenced vaccination for Chinese Indian participants. highlights challenges promoting Ethnic-sensitive efforts are needed maximize acceptance vaccines countries with diverse ethnic communities religious practices.
