Improvement of spacecraft white thermal control coatings using the new synthesized Zn-MCM-41 pigment

摘要: Abstract Thermal control coatings (TCCs) play an important role in thermal management of spacecrafts and satellites by their thermo-optical properties including low solar absorptance ( α s ) high emittance e t ). In this research, two novel TCCs were prepared incorporating the pre-synthesized MCM-41 Zn-MCM-41 into potassium silicate binder. The results measurement show that both are able to reflect almost all UV radiation therefore they much less susceptible radiations than conventional TCCs. addition to, lower pigment binder ratio (PBR) dry film thickness (DFT) attainable with these TCCs, finally lead weight reduction, improvement mechanical porosity.
