摘要: Medication histories improve health care quality and safety; formularies serve to control costs. We describe the implementation of Regenstrief Hub: a system provide both Gopher ePrescribing application. Currently Hub aggregates data from two sources: RxHub consortium pharmacy benefit managers, Wishard Health Services. During one month, generated 53,764 queries, each representing patient visit. responded with 4,012 histories; 23,421 histories. The aggregated filtered these before delivering them Gopher. However, clinician users accessed during only 0.6% prescribing sessions. also managed drug eligibility data, which enabled formulary-based decision support. clinicians heeded 41% warnings based on Formulary, 16% commercial formularies. is scalable accommodate additional sources.
