摘要: Advanced stage laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC) presents a poor prognosis; thus, there is great need to identify novel prognostic molecular markers. Procollagen-lysine, 2-oxoglutarate 5-dioxygenase 2 (PLOD2) thought be factor in several cancers, but its role LSCC remains unknown. Cancer stem cells (CSCs) are responsible for most instances of tumor recurrence and the development drug resistance have been proven present head neck cancers. Our preliminary study indicated that PLOD2 was elevated tissues; therefore, we hypothesized related prognosis patients aimed explore underlying mechanism LSCC. We validated 114 by immunohistochemistry. Stable PLOD2-overexpressing Hep-2 FaDu were established assessed biology biochemistry methods both vitro vivo. confirmed overexpression correlated with patients. strengthened CSC-like properties cells, activated Wnt signaling pathway conferred found could serve as marker confer increasing traits; addition, Wnt-responsive CSC identified.
