摘要: Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM) is one of the most studied pathologies to date, not only due elevating incidence but also because it being diagnosed at even earlier ages. T1DM an autoimmune disease with a very complex genetic background where environmental factors seem play important triggering role. Elements like cesarean section, vitamin D deficiency, early exposure cow milk proteins, limited microorganisms during infancy, and increase childhood obesity have been related development this disease, converging all into key feature: loss intestinal immunological tolerance participation auto-reactive T cells from susceptible patient. On other hand, breast offers series growth factors, insulin, which are able induce tolerogenic response in microenvironment, lowering probability any phenomena. The following review will expose evidence pathophysiological mechanisms involved each element associated immunomodulation risk T1DM.
