摘要: An efficient method for increasing the dilution rate of brine water discharged into sea is an inclined negatively buoyant jet from a single port or multi-diffuser system. Such jets typically arise when desalination plants. Two small-scale experimental studies were conducted to investigate behaviour dense lighter ambient water. The first experiment concerned importance initial angle jets, where slope flow increased maximum levels as function this angle. 60o produced better results than 30° 45°. empirical predictive equation was developed based on five geometric quantities be considered in design second studied near and intermediate fields jets. Dilution direction by about 10 40 % with bottom slope, together inclination, respectively. over 16 more field work future are needed compare result. It found that inclination optimal discharge outfall.
