摘要: Tribological phenomena and tool wear mechanisms during machining of hard-to-cut TiAl6V4 aerospace alloy have been investigated in detail. Since cutting is directly affected by tribological occurring between the surfaces workpiece tool, performance strongly associated with conditions process. The present work shows effect different on TiB2-coated tools compared to uncoated carbide tools. FEM modeling temperature profile friction surface was performed for wet under varying parameters. Comprehensive characterization TiB2 coated vs. made using optical 3D imaging, SEM/EDX XPS methods respectively. results obtained were linked modeling. studies carried out show that alloy, efficiency coating application depends conditions. very efficient roughing at low speeds (with strong buildup edge formation). In contrast, it similar finishing operations higher when cratering predominates.
