摘要: THE PURPOSE Of this project was to study the mucosal changes that occur with carcinoma of large intestine. In we have attempted identify any evidence these might in some way be related genesis, course, or prognosis carcinoma. The material frothing basis consisted resected specimens from 100 unselected patients colon rectum. At time operation, were opened, cleansed, and photogTaphed. A diagram depicting sizes, configurations locations all grossly recognized lesions mucosa drawn. Sections made for microscopic study. sections small such they could studied crosssection. Ninety-five per cent been followed at least five years since their operations. Seventy-seven series contained recognizable addition carcinomas, while 23 did not. [n 3_ 9, one more additional 5 mm diameter, 16, 1 cm size larger. Five had multiple large-bowel carcinomas; four two, three respectively. Two single coincidental carcinoids.
