摘要: Gliomas are primary cancers of the brain and most lethal known to man. In recent years discovery germinal regions in postnatal containing neuronal stem progenitor cell populations has led hypothesis that these cells may themselves serve as an origin tumors. Stem reside within glioma tumor have been shown display nonneoplastic stem-like characteristics, including expression various markers, well capacity for self-renewal multipotency. Furthermore, tumors marked similarities brain. Investigations human neural their potential malignancy finally identify a cell-of-origin gliomas. This, turn, facilitate better therapeutic targeting leading improved prognosis patients.
