Silicon/epoxy nanocomposites for capacitors as the energy storage element

摘要: Silicon/epoxy nanocomposites were synthesized in order to investigate potential improvement of electrical energy storage capability and mechanical properties epoxy resin on addition Si nanospheres. Nanospheres with mean diameter 130 nm homogenized within monomers at 5 10 wt.%. The dielectric behavior the resulting was investigated using broadband spectroscopy from 10-2 106 Hz room temperature. constant, e'r, composite wt.% loading is ~ 5.1 Hz, a 25% increase compared value for neat epoxy, whereas tan o remains low (<; 0.035). On other hand, 17% modulus shown loading, that Tg polymer matrix slightly elevated incorporation. increases both permittivity suggest Si/epoxy are suitable multifunctional application; e.g. as structural capacitors.
