摘要: Abstract A pilot-scale plug-flow reactor was built to investigate its performance in treating airborne 1,3-butadiene (BD) via ozonation (O3) and ultraviolet (UV)/O3 technologies. Governing factors, such as the initial molar ratio of ozone BD, UV volumetric electric input power, moisture content influent airstream, were investigated. Experiments conducted at an BD concentration ∼50 ppm, ambient temperature 26 °C, a gas retention time 85 sec. Results show that 3.5 2 sufficed obtain decompositions >90% for UV/O3, respectively. The irradiance did not directly promote decomposition rather, it played role promoting production secondary oxidants, hydroxyl radicals.
