Synthesis and characterization of nanostructured MnO2–CoO and its relevance as an opto-electronic humidity sensing device

摘要: Metal carboxylates are widely used in science and technology have been the subject of intense studies due to practical importance their products. The present paper reports synthesis MnO2–CoO using metal as precursors effect humidity on transmitted power through its thin film at room temperature. refractive index material was found be 1.445930 peak obtained from photoluminescence spectra lies visible region. TEM reported a minimum grain size ∼5.7 nm SAED confirmed crystalline nature material, which further by XRD. Fluorescence characteristics also low dimensionality material. then investigated SEM exhibited porous morphology. Through UV-Vis spectroscopy, it that absorption takes place UV region optical band-gap observed 3.849 eV Tauc plot. employed transmission based opto-electronic sensor. Average sensitivity ∼2.225 μW/% RH with response recovery times 47 s 59 respectively. Experiments were repeated reproducibility result ∼89%.
