摘要: The aim of the present study was to synthesize and characterize a novel thiolated polymer by covalent attachment N-acetyl cysteine chitosan. obtained conjugate characterized in vitro quantification immobilized thiol groups their pH dependent oxidation, swelling behaviour artificial intestinal fluid at 6.8, rheological properties evaluation its mucoadhesive on freshly excised porcine mucosa. chitosan-N-acetyl synthesized via carbodiimide mediated coupling reaction displaying up 325.5+/-41.8 micromol per gram polymer. 79% total amount oxidized disulfide during reaction. Adhesion studies mucosa indicate that resulting shows 50-fold longer residence time 8.3-fold higher work adhesion necessary detach flat-faced polymeric tablet from comparison unmodified Swelling 6.8 were rather limited only 5% increment weight after 2h experiment. Within 1h viscosity an aqueous mixture 37 degrees C, 5.0 decreased 35% addition hen white egg lysozyme demonstrating biodegradability. Because these features seems represent promising tool, which might be useful particular for development biodegradable formulations.
