摘要: Ontogeny of lens crystallins the garden lizard, Calotes versicolor has been studied by gel filtration, polyacrylamide electrophoresis, 7M urea PAGE, SDS and 6M isoelectric focusing. Wet weight, diameter soluble protein content per were also determined as a function age. The amount α-crystallins increased slightly during development. relative proportion putative δ-crystallins was significantly higher in embryos than adult. overall polypeptide pattern changed markedly around time hatching.
