摘要: The shifts of the spectral lines P(4)–R(6) fundamental vibration–rotation band hydrogen fluoride caused by presence carbon dioxide were measured. pattern followed these in R branch was same as that found Jaffe et al., for case 1–0 HF broadened krypton. Data available only branch. shifts, however, smaller than those produced A new approach to application equivalent-width method measuring spectral-line width developed. half-widths CO2-broadened decreased sharply and monotonically functions |m|. variation very closely reported Babrov HCl CO2. line shapes investigated which could be corrected instrumental broadening. effect CO2 broadener upon shape seems flatten peak elevate wings. Lorentz exponent, η, from 2.00, narrowest lines, 1.85 widest investigated. Experimental evidence obtained support assumption intensities are dependent on amount absorber present.
