摘要: According to Webster’s Revised Unabridged Dictionary, efficiency is (1) the quality of being efficient or producing an effect effects and (2) (in context mechanics) ratio useful work energy expended. The first description obviously relates more everyday language than science-focussed second description. This one, however, restricted mechanics thermodynamics. concept also used in economics, but there it appears indicate state optimality, not a quantifiable degree optimality.
