摘要: The separate and joint effects of cigarette smoking alcohol consumption on serum activities the enzymes aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine (ALT) gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT) were investigated in 46,775 men attending BUPA Health Screening Centre London during period 1983-1987, after allowing for differences age, body mass index exercise level. As expected, all showed a significant positive correlation with consumption. Cigarette produced increase GGT activity drinking categories bar teetotallers, particularly those more than 20 cigarettes per day. There no changes clinical significance AST or ALT smoking. We postulate that combined are result induction enzyme by both nicotine. Smoking as well habits should be taken into account when assessing an individual's activities.
