摘要: The interactions of cells with the surface materials is known to be influenced by a range factors that include chemistry and roughness; however, it often difficult probe these individually without also changing others. Here we investigate role roughness on cell adhesion while maintaining same underlying chemistry. This was achieved using polymerization in mold technique prepare poly(hydroxymethyl methacrylate) hydrogels either flat topography or replicated microscale features lotus leaves. These were then assessed for adhesion, atomic force microscopy contact angle analysis used physical reasons differing behavior relation adhesion.
