摘要: Originally described for its ability to remodel the birth canal during pregnancy, hormone relaxin is emerging as a promising therapy fibroproliferative disorders of skin and other organs. Relaxin has been shown potently rapidly prevent reverse myofibroblast-mediated collagen production accumulation in several experimental models fibrosis, while also being able promote matrix-metalloproteinase-induced degradation. It primarily mediates these actions by interfering with TGF-β1 signaling (at level Smad2 phosphorylation) hence, TGF-β1-stimulated myofibroblast differentiation matrix synthesis. These combined along vasodilation, angiogenesis, wound healing highlight potential Dupuytren’s disease.
