摘要: Yeast species from which respiratory deficient, or petite, mutants cannot easily be obtained (petite negative species) give rise to micro-colony-producing when subjected an acriflavine treatment that induces the production of petite in several other yeasts positive species). As a rule, micro-colonies die before becoming visible naked eye. Sometimes they can subcultured and deficiency then demonstrated. The results growth experiments under anaerobic conditions suggest functioning system is more important than it yeasts. An incidental lethal side-effect acriflavine, specifically on yeasts, improbable since mutagenic with supraoptimum temperatures induced viable only, again mutation
