摘要: OBJECTIVE To evaluate the feasibility and clinical outcomes after laparoscopic evaluation of small intestines via laparoscopy. STUDY DESIGN Prospective pilot study. ANIMALS Healthy adult horses (n = 5). METHODS Horses were restrained in standing stocks received an infusion detomidine. One port was placed left last intercostal space 3 ports right paralumbar fossa. The intestine run with atraumatic grasping forceps, from duodenocolic plica to ileocecal plica. Postoperative pain scored every 4 hours for first 48 hours. monitored physical examinations 2 weeks. Second look laparoscopy repeated at weeks, assess iatrogenic changes. An exploratory celiotomy performed horses, months later long-term follow-up recorded horses. RESULTS Laparoscopic entire successfully completed twice horse. This lasted 39 ± 21.2 minutes (mean ± SD), while total surgery time 73 ± 34.1 minutes. remained normal all scores as mild. only abnormalities second consisted multifocal petechiae ecchymoses resolved by explored celiotomy. Three healthy 8 CONCLUSION Running laparoscopically is a feasible procedure does not cause significant discomfort nor complications.
