摘要: Background Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a major cause of lower respiratory tract infection, claiming millions lives annually. The infects various cells the as well resident inflammatory such macrophages. Infection activates variety cellular factors cytokines and pro-inflammatory transcription factor, NF-kappa B, all which are important players in disease. However, exact natural route RSV infection its etiology remain relatively unknown. In this paper, we test hypothesis that human corneal epithelial cells, constitute outermost layer cornea, can be infected with RSV, leads to activation proinflammatory macromolecules.
