摘要: The concentration dependence of dissolved-DMSP loss and DMSP-lyase activity was determined at several locations in Monterey Bay over a period two weeks spring 1995. Kinetic parameters DMSP DMS production varied wide range were not obviously correlated with ambient levels or overall biomass. Apparent half-saturation values ranged from 480 nM to 11.3 μM, corresponding maximal velocities 5-156 nmol L-1 h-1. also variable, K m , v max 23 nM, 4.9 h-l 900 60 h-1 found experiments. Based on comparison the apparent when kinetics both assessed simultaneously, proportion resulting low 100%. These results suggest that degradation productive coastal waters can be mediated by extremely different microbial consortia short temporal spatial scales.
