摘要: In this study, the spot friction welding of 2024-T3 aluminum alloy with 1.6 mm in thickness has been investigated. The effects tool rotational speed (630, 1000, and 1600 rpm), shoulder penetration depth (0.3 0.7 mm), pin geometry (cylindrical triangular shape) have discussed on metallurgical mechanical properties. Results indicated that a considerable effect shape stir zone. results tensile shear tests showed load increased increasing 0.3 mm, while high had bilateral load. addition, welds made at low speed, was more than cylindrical one, which attributed to finer grain size generated Observation failed specimens two types failure modes under loading conditions including fractures occurred vicinity keyhole (shear fracture) indentation (tensile shear-mixed fracture mode). microhardness both pins minimum hardness measured heat-affected
