摘要: ABSTRACTThe current study investigates the mechanical and microstructure properties of 2024 aluminium alloy welded by protrusion friction stir spot welding as a novel method to produce keyhole-free welds. Tool rotation speed anvil height are used effective variables process obtain optimum conditions. Results illustrate that welds with joint show superior in compared conventional welding. Failure mode changes from interfacial circumferential increasing nugget zone depth length, while effect is considerable. Finally, at 1600 rev min−1 0.4 mm presents significant more length.
