A new genus and species of pomacentrid fish (Perciformes) from the Eocene of Bolca in northern Italy

摘要: A new genus and species of pomacentrid fish, Sorbinichromis francescoi, is described based on a single skeleton from the Eocene locality Bolca in northern Italy. gen. nov. characterized by unique combination vertebral (10+15=25) unpaired fin-ray counts (D XI, 12; II, 10; C 4, I,8-7,I, 3), long pelvic fins, possession two supraneurals.
