摘要: As the prevalence of obesity continues to rise significantly worldwide, an increasing number overweight patients are expected present hospital with various pathological conditions. In particular, obese at risk for acquiring infections. When facing life-threatening infections in critically ill patients, careful antibiotic dose adjustment based on pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) considerations is necessary because hospital-related often caused by pathogens decreased susceptibility (as compared community isolates) and drug handling altered this patient population. Antibiotic PK may be even further patients. chapter, we will explore why more susceptible than lean individuals, what possible changes due per se, how use principles optimize dosing strategies
