摘要: The degradation of several organic compounds in aqueous solution: methyl yellow (C14H15N3), red (C15H15N3O2), orange (C14H14N3NaO3S), phenol (C19H14O5S) and methylene blue (C16H18ClN3S), was investigated a pulsed corona discharge. High voltage pulses 17 kV amplitude, 24 ns rise time approximately 200 duration (full width at half maximum––FWHM) were applied to an array six hollow needles. When oxygen bubbled into the solution through needle, current 90 A amplitude obtained average power dissipated discharge 19 W 100 Hz pulse repetition rate. UV-visible spectra solutions show significant reduction absorbance visible range, up 90%, after plasma treatment, suggesting fragmentation compounds. Several aliphatic identified as oxidation products yellow, orange. For aromatic reaction detected well.
