摘要: Abstract Objective To compare a seal-in liner with the common suction socket regards to patient satisfaction and problems experienced prosthesis. Design Retrospective survey. Setting A medical engineering research center department of biomechanical engineering. Participants Men (N=90) traumatic transfemoral amputation who used both suspension systems participated in study. Intervention Two prosthetic systems: socket. Main Outcome Measures questionnaires were completed by each subject evaluate their 2 systems. Satisfaction analyzed terms fitting, donning doffing, sitting, walking, stair negotiation, appearance, sweating, wounds, pain, irritation, pistoning, edema, smell, sound, durability. Results The study revealed that respondents more satisfied doffing. Overall increased use compared ( P Conclusions results survey suggest persons can be improved socket, provided durability is enhanced.
