摘要: PURPOSE The aim of this study was to determine whether typical abnormalities seen on autofluorescence (AF) imaging in patients with macular telangiectasia (MacTel) type 2 are correlated visual acuity at presentation and progression loss over a 2-year follow-up period. METHODS A subgroup 218 (413 eyes) enrolled the MacTel that underwent AF included present study. Images were graded Moorfields Eye Hospital Reading Center. Recorded baseline years presence increased because masking central macula, localized decreased end retinal vessel, large area AF. Best-corrected measured using Early Treatment for Diabetic Retinopathy chart after years. Statistical associations sought by means generalized linear model. RESULTS Presence (P = 0.004), < 0.001), or vessel 0.001) significantly associated worse best-corrected acuity. absence predictive subtle but significant drop CONCLUSIONS Increased heralds predicts further period years, which, however, does not stand out from overall slowly progressive natural history disease.
