Addressing health inequalities in diverse, rural communities: An unmet need.

摘要: Research on rural health needs to represent the diverse demographics of these regions by carefully considering distinct characteristics, inequities, and stressors occurring in communities. Drawing from our own findings other empirical investigations examining communities, we propose several considerations guide future endeavors toward more inclusive research. These include population-health assessment tools that consider minority stress intervention strategies designed reflect both environmental socio-cultural contexts residents.
