Severe hepatitis during ketoconazole therapy.

摘要: Ketoconazole is an imidazole derivative recently developed as antifungal agent. There have been only a few established cases of hepatotoxicity in the literature. This report describes case presumed ketoconazole characterized by development severe hepatitis with marked centrilobular necrosis. The lack hypersensitivity reactions clinical findings and location necrosis suggested host idiosyncrasy metabolic abnormality effect present case.
