摘要: Objective Lung transplantation has been increasingly applied to patients over the age of 60 years. Importantly, procedure choice, single versus bilateral lung transplantation, remains unclear. Therefore, purpose this study was examine short- and midterm outcomes in group with particular attention type. Methods All first transplant recipients, years or older, reported United Network for Organ Sharing from 1998 2004 were divided into two groups: transplantation. A retrospective review pertinent baseline characteristics, clinical parameters, performed. Kaplan–Meier methodology used estimate Cox proportional hazards regression modeling compare posttransplant survival between these groups. Additionally, propensity scores analysis Results During period, 1656 recipients older (mean 62.7 ± 2.4 years, median 62 years). Of these, 364 (28%) had 1292 (78%) Survival not statistically different In multivariate analysis, a predictor mortality. Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis donor tobacco history more than 20 pack-years significantly associated mortality ( P = .003, CI 1.12–1.76; .006, 1.09–1.63; respectively). Conclusions The who underwent is comparable. These data suggest that type group. cigarette use independently
