Nonorthodox heterodyne electro-optic detection for terahertz optical systems

摘要: An electro-optic detector of terahertz electromagnetic waves with boosted performance is presented. The utilizes a heterodyne detection technique to achieve orders magnitude better responsivity compared standard setup. We prove theoretically as well demonstrate experimentally the feasibility this for detection.
