An amperometric method for the detection of amitrole, glyphosate and its aminomethyl-phosphonic acid metabolite in environmental waters using passive samplers

摘要: The herbicides amitrole and glyphosate, its metabolite aminomethyl-phosphonic acid (AMPA), in water samples have been directly analysed by high-performance liquid chromatography using an electrochemical (EC) detector. Limits of detection 0.3 microg mL(-1) for 0.05 AMPA 0.03 were comparable to those obtained other authors EC also coupled mass spectrometry, but the latter method requires derivatisation pre-concentration sample whereas methods show similar sensitivity without need any derivatisation. was specifically designed analyse extracts from passive samplers used monitoring polar herbicide residues waters. To this purpose, three types Empore disks tested their ability adsorb desorb these ionic, analytes. A procedure extraction membranes reducing interferences substances present natural waters (i.e. humic acids) is described. simple, does not require sophisticated equipment valid analysis samplers.
