摘要: Abstract An integrative taxonomic approach was adopted to confirm that the shrimp Cinetorhynchus erythrostictus introduced into Western Atlantic Ocean and it is for sale in marine aquarium trade Brazil, misidentified as C. rigens, a representative of fauna. The MaxEnt modeling technique used infer ecological niche models erythrostictus, an invasive (non-indigenous) species Ocean, rigens (native Ocean). Subsequently, hypothesis conservatism over evolutionary time scale tested. projection suggested large areas climatic suitability Ocean. background showed similar range environmental conditions native congeneric shrimp. niches overlap 26%, with significant equivalency similarity between niches. Thus, these can develop competitive interactions across gradients. Importantly, we recommend greater efforts should be made identify ornamental are currently traded, order minimize risk spread and, consequently, potential damage biodiversity.
