摘要: Perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.) is one of the most economically and environmentally important grass species for temperate zone. It maintains effective self-incompatibility (SI), which promotes outbreeding as well limits efficient production inbred lines hybrids. SI in L. controlled by S Z loci, mapping to linkage groups 1 2, respectively. None gene products has been identified so far. Comparative regions on rice chromosomes 5 (R5) 4 with synteny genome containing Markers were developed from syntenic genomic region refine maps. The closest flanking markers had a map distance 2 cM 0.2 Z. cDNA libraries in-vitro pollinated stigma subtracted unpollinated identify components response related genes. Through BLAST search, candidates that orthologous sequences R4 R5 prime candidate Altogether ten genes incompatible associated differentially expression pattern: rapid increase within two minutes after pollen-stigma contact reaching maximum between 2-10 minutes, implying their roles response. Attempts carried out determine relationships or loci. Large fine scale populations individually loci generate high resolution maps towards map-based cloning. Tightly linked at 1.4 0.9 studies performed this project have implications both underlying genetic control biochemical responses involved SI. closely could be applied future marker assisted selection breeding programmes
