摘要: Paralobesia viteana (Clemens) (Lepidoptera:Tortricidae), the grape berry moth, is a major economic pest of cultivated grapes in eastern North America. Although pheromone lures and traps are available for monitoring this pest, male moth captures these decline as infestation risk increases through multiple generations that occur during season. This makes it difficult to use monitor pest's population dynamics complicates timing management activities. To test whether seasonal changes plant canopy affect we manipulated grapevine fruit density or structure growing seasons, measured under conditions. Removal either 50 100% clusters from vineyard plots did not consistently traps. In 2013, significantly more males were captured where removed compared removed, but effect was seen 2014 2015. first year separate experiment, there no differences between unaltered canopies those held open artificially. subsequent years detected significant some sample periods, prevailing trend arithmetically than canopies. We conclude presence, fullness do reduce P. late season, other factors driving pattern.
