摘要: The Mossbauer effect of the 57.6 keV transition in 127I has been used to investigate iodine bonding CH3I, CH2I2, CHI3, and CI4 at 4.2°K. data unambiguously imply existence a small amount s hybridization orbitals. This increases approximately linearly through series from ∼0% ∼8% CH3I. ionic character C–I bond also results are compared with several semiempirical predictions based on NQR data. Separate experiments using 27.8‐keV 129I have yielded consistent CH129I3 absorber.
