摘要: Objective: To examine the extent to which persons with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) have an increased risk of Alzheimer disease (AD) and a more rapid rate decline in function compared similar without impairment. Method: Participants were 786 community-based (221 MCI 565 impairment) from Rush Memory Aging Project, ongoing longitudinal clinical-pathologic study common chronic conditions old age. All participants underwent detailed annual clinical neuropsychological evaluations. The authors examined incident AD change global among those impairment; all statistical models controlled for age, sex, education. Results: Over average 2.5 years follow-up, 57 (25.8%) developed AD, 6.7 times higher than In addition, declined considerably rapidly each year on measure Conclusions: Mild is associated greatly function.
