摘要: Objective. To quantify extracellular adenosine triphosphate (ATP) levels in human platelet-poor plasma as a potential source of synovial fluid ATP, and to determine variables affecting these levels. Methods. ATP was measured by the specific luciferase method ; platelet beta thromboglobulin determined radioimmunoassay. The effects fasting, feeding, venipuncture, muscular exercise were serial venipuncture healthy subjects. Diurnal variation sampling through indwelling venous catheters 3 subjects women with knee osteoarthritis. Results. Unlike levels, which did not change, an invariable marked (mean 58%) fall noted 15 min after first whether subject had eaten or not. Indomethacin treatment no effect on this phenomenon. Exercise forearm muscles ATP. drop occurred between min, recovery at about 90 min. A diurnal found trough noon night during sleep. Conclusion. predictable sharp induced clear suggest that contains independent dense body release endothelial cell needle trauma. Synovial flow peak (600 nM) is insufficient provide more than one-third needed generate inorganic pyrophosphate articular tissues.
