摘要: Abstract The two-step concentrated acid hydrolysis approach is a very efficient method for the generation of monomeric sugars from lignocellulosic biomass, due to its ability generate near-theoretical sugar yields, at moderate processing times. Sulfuric most frequently employed combination low cost, high efficiency, and toxicity corrosivity compared other acids. A challenge with this recover re-use catalyst in order make process economical reduce waste streams. This paper reviews different recovery techniques found literature compare them based on performance. three investigated best performing approaches are ion exclusion chromatography, solvent extraction electrodialysis. Of these, chromatography investigated, also applied bigger scale recovering final hydrolysate stream. Solvent popular option when performed intermediate product stream process. studied achieve performance acid-sugar separation efficiencies, recoveries 90–99% reported, loss (higher than 90% glucose yields). More research required into impact re-using after recovery.
