摘要: Estramustine-phosphate (EMP), a combination of nornitrogen mustard and 17Β-estradiol, has been demonstrated to exert specific antiproliferative effects on human glioma cellsin vitro. The cytotoxic effect is, at least partially, mediated by inhibiting microtubule function. In this study the combined EMP radiation was evaluated in cell-lines, 251-MG 105-MG,in vitro, rat BT4Cin vitro andin vivo. all cell-lines an additive obtainedin Assuming equal is obtained subsequent fractions, cell kill will be increased from 2–3 5–10 logs if delivering 30 fractions 2 Gy with EMP. BT4C model found synergistic. Flow cytometry arrest G2/M phase after treatment. This block addition previously induction free oxygen radicals, increase blood flow assumed oxygenation, might provide explanation for observed radiosensitizing estramustine.
