摘要: INTRODUCTION We examined diet quality and intake of pregnancy-specific micronutrients among pregnant American Indian women in the Northern Plains. METHODS conducted an analysis nutrition data from Prenatal Alcohol SIDS Stillbirth (PASS) Network Safe Passage Study PASS Diet Screener study (N = 170). intake, including dietary supplementation, was assessed by using three 24-hour recalls on randomly selected, nonconsecutive days. were averaged across participant's scored for 2 indices: Healthy Eating Index 2010 (HEI-2010) Alternate Pregnancy (AHEI-P). also nutrient adequacy with Dietary Reference Intakes pregnancy. RESULTS On average, participants aged 26.9 (standard deviation [SD], 5.5) years a pre-pregnancy body mass index 29.8 (SD, 7.5) kg/m2. Mean AHEI-P HEI-2010 scores (52.0 [SD, 9.0] 49.2 11.1], respectively) indicated inadequate adherence to recommendations. Micronutrient vitamins D K, choline, calcium, potassium lower than recommended, sodium higher recommended.
