摘要: This is the second, conclusive part of clinical study on responses early-postmenopausal women to standardized doses pre-Gelatinized Organic Maca (Maca-GO). After fulfilling criteria being early-postmenopausal: blood Estrogen (E2 30 IU/ml) at admission, they were randomly allocated Placebo (P) and Maca-GO (M) treatments (2 groups 11 participants each). Two 500 mg vegetable hard gel capsules with or powder self-administered twice daily meals (total 2 g/day). At admission follow-up monthly intervals, body mass index (BMI), pressure, levels gonadal, pituitary, thyroid adrenal hormones, lipids key minerals measured. Bone markers determined after M P use 12 participants. Menopausal symptoms assessed according Greene's Score (GMS) Kupperman's Index (KMI). Data analyzed using multivariate technique blocs monthly. Results canonical variate was applied GMS KMI matrices. application stimulated (P<0.05) production E2, suppressed FSH, Thyroid (T3) Adrenocorticotropic Cortisol, BMI, increased low density lipoproteins, Iron alleviated (P<0.001) menopausal symptoms. noticeably bone markers. In conclusion, (i) acted as toner hormonal processes along Hypothalamus-Pituitary-Ovarian axis, (ii) balanced hormone (iii) relieved discomfort, (hot flushes night sweating particular), thus, (iv) exhibited distinctive function peculiar adaptogens, providing an alternative non-hormonal plant option reduce dependence therapy programs (HRT).
