摘要: Background: In-vehicle monitoring is being used increasingly in research into driver behaviour. Advances Global Positioning Systems (GPS), data management and telecommunications have made this a viable tool to objectively measure driving exposure also speed patterns. Aim: The purpose of study was validate an in-vehicle device the laboratory where deceleration can be controlled field experiments. Methods: consists C4D Data Recorder with External GPS Receiver. hardware includes internal 3D accelerometer, tachograph, real-time clock, battery (1300mA) 128MB flash memory. invehicle logger transmits location via mobile network. evaluated tested investigate context for events. We developed algorithms process summary routes incidents. Results Discussion: Protocols were established use programs extract application technology innovative approach behaviour vehicle safety research.
