摘要: Abstract Video Game Software Development is a promisingarea of empirical research because our rst obser-vations in industry environment identi ed lackof systematic process and method support andrarely conducted/documented studies. Neverthe-less, video games - speci c types software prod-ucts focus strongly on user interface gamedesign. Thus, engineering processes, methods forgame construction veri cation/validation, andbest-practices, derived from traditional en-gineering, might be applicable context videogame development. We selected the Austrian gamesindustry as manageable promising startingpoint for systematically capturing state-of-thepractice game In this paperwe present survey design report rstresults national gamesindustry. The results showed that theAustrian organized set ofsmall young studios with trend to ad-hocand exible development processes limitationsin support.
